Guide · Scaling worldwide
How to scale an Amazon store worldwide
Worldwide does not mean everywhere at once. Scale in order: win one marketplace, then copy what works — with local listings, pricing, and logistics — to the next.
1. Win one marketplace first
Prove TACOS, conversion, and reviews in your home marketplace before expanding. If a listing does not convert at home, a new country will not fix it.
2. Pick the next marketplace by demand, not by map
- Where do your competitors already sell?
- Where is search demand for your product in that language?
- What are shipping + import + VAT / tax costs to serve it?
3. Localise — do not just translate
- Titles + bullets rewritten for local search terms, not machine-translated.
- Images: local units, plugs, sizes, and lifestyle cues.
- Price: local fees, shipping, and competitor prices — not a currency conversion.
4. Logistics before ads
Confirm FBA / FBM, shipping times, returns, and tax/VAT handling for the new marketplace before spending on ads there. Ads to a listing that cannot deliver on time will burn reviews.
Expansion order we recommend
- Home marketplace — win it.
- One English-language marketplace — copy + learn.
- One non-English marketplace — localise properly.
- Walmart / Etsy — only when Amazon is stable.
What not to break
- Do not copy listings word-for-word across marketplaces.
- Do not run the same PPC structure everywhere — search terms differ by country.
- Do not expand while account health is red.
